Research summary
We wish to develop a set of patient reported outcome measures for our patients undergoing treatment for colorectal cancer. This will enable us to better understand the holistic needs of our patients, how we might better meet these and evaluate our service. A questionnaire will be devised by the department of surgery at Countess of Chester hospital covering elements of disease specific and global quality of health. This will be distributed by post and also to patients attending for treatment at the hospital. Following review of these responses, a further verion(s)will be designed. Patients will be invited to attend for a focus group discussion at the Countess of Chester where the final version of the questionnaire will be created.
