  • Research summary

This study aims to derive information from 300 participants on their typical interactions and experiences with information technology devices. A survey will collect information on patients older than 50 years to establish their level of competency and literacy with modern IT and establish what this population is likely to be able to manage and which platforms should be exploited to deliver final applications. Participants will be recruited from all outpatient clinics and also include visitors and patient relatives and friends. The information gathered in this survey will be used in multiple future studies related to the potential use of technology to manage, monitor or assess eye conditions to inform the development of the applications and ensure we design appropriate studies.
