  • Research summary

    Why?
We are trying to find out the recovery experiences of individuals who were diagnosed with COVID-19 in hospital. People can often suffer with prolonged symptoms, commonly called ’long COVID’. We hope to track recovery experiences and see if we can enhance it through the use of wearable sensors and technology.

    What?
We will ask you to wear a lightweight sensor, like a watch, on your wrist which can measure your activity levels and heart rate. If you have an android smartphone, we may ask you to allow to download an app which can also measure your activity levels. We will also ask you to complete a short questionnaire on your experiences at the end of the study.

    Who?
All participants who were discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of COVID-19, were part of a virtual ward, or attended a COVID outpatient clinic can take part in the study.

    Where?
You can take part in this study from home.
