Research summary
We are planning to set up a one-stop vein clinic, where patients will be assessed, have their scans and have a varicose vein procedure all on the same day. Our hypothesis is that this will reduce the number of outpatient appointments as well as the waiting time for varicose vein procedures and improve the satisfaction and quality of life. Patients will have to attend fewer appointments and will be treated on the same day. In addition, it is believed this will be cheaper for the NHS.
