Research summary
This is an European, multi-centre, observational real world evidence study. This study will be conducted in 25 centres across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and will describe the burden of ovarian cancer on the study population and the healthcare system, the characteristics of patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the prognostic factors for response to treatment and survival.
The study is based on retrospective secondary use of hospital medical records. There will be no changes to patient management for the purposes of any part of the study and no additional tests, investigations or visits will be required.
The population for this study is adult patients diagnosed with ovarian cancer between 1st January 2014 - 31st December 2015 who have been treated as part of routine clinical care in the UK, France, Germany, Spain or Italy. It is expected to recruit a maximum of 1000 patients (200 patients each from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy).
