Research summary
This study aims to investigate the Nuromuscular junction (NMJ) in detail in control participants (i.e. participants without motor neuropathies or disorders known to affect the NMJ).
NMJs obtained from muscle biopsies collected during routine elbow or shoulder surgery will be analysed via a combination of high resolution microscopy and electrophysiology tests within the Applied NMJ Research Facility at Newcastle University.
