Data collection arrangements
Donors will be identified by the healthcare team directly responsible for providing routine care and treatment for neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis patients. Arrangements for consenting patients will occur within this clinical setting. Blood fractions, urine and surplus tissue from consented neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis patients will be stored at each of the storage establishments (Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, Salford Royal Hospital NHS trust).
Research programme
The aim of this research is to collect longitudinal samples from neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis patients to store in a specific biobank.
