Research summary
Institute for Medical Science and Technology (IMSAT), University of Dundee, intend to establish a program of MRI and Ultrasound (US) scanning of healthy volunteers for research purposes. This study will collect liver and kidney data using Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Ultrasound imaging, with the purpose of developing software and hardware for the scan of the abdominal organs effected by breathing motion. The results are aimed to develop methodologies to plan Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound MRgFUS treatment planning.
