• Research summary

  This observational cross sectional study is to document with quantified measurements the natural history of upper and lower limb muscles in dystrophin-glycoprotein associated genetic muscle disorders including Becker Muscular Dystrophy (BMD), Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)and Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD). Both ambulant and non-ambulant patients will be included in this project where the participants will undergo only an MRI. This will be a single centre study which will take place in Newcastle at the MR centre situated at the campus for Ageing and Vitality, Newcastle University in tandem with the International Centre for Life, Newcastle University.
