Research summary
The aim of this study is to check the efficacy of the medical device called MOWOOT. This medical device performs an automatic colon-specific massage and it is recommended for people who suffer from chronic constipation. The outcome of this study will be assessed by the number of complete bowel movements per week. Complete bowel movements mean that the patient feels that they have emptied their bowels completely. Patients will receive a 4-week intervention consisting of one subject consultation followed by daily massage with MOWOOT (20 minutes per day), weekly phone calls to make sure that they use the medical device correctly.
