Research summary
This study evaluates the mOm incubator, a new and novel low-cost device designed to maintain temperature stability in premature or vulnerable babies. Our hypothesis is that the mOm incubator will enable babies to maintain their temperatures as effectively as a conventional incubator. This study is the first clinical study for use of the mOm incubator, which will help establish it's suitability for use, including in lower resource settings. We will also seek feedback from nursing, medical and non-clinical staff about use, accessibility and ease of maintenance.
