Research summary
Research Summary
The aim of the study is to study the levels of the metabolomic biomarkers in blood and urine. This might help us detect any variability of their levels in individual patients and between patients. This will help establish a range of these biomarkers in patients with kidney cancer.Patients will be requested to give us blood and urine samples on 2-3 occasions for this study, both of which will have to be at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. About 3-4 teaspoons of blood and an eggcup full of urine sample will be collected on each occasion.Summary of Results
It proved disappointingly difficult to collect the necessary samples from this project. In order not to waste materials kindly supplied by study participants, approvals were obtained to transfer samples to larger Cambridge sample collections called ARTIST and DIAMOND.REC name
