• Research summary

  Patients who have a heart attack are at increased risk of further heart attacks, despite treatment.
  A study performed at our centre used a novel blood test aiming to predict this risk. The investigators were successful, and with this blood test, were able to identify those patients who were at risk of a further heart attack or death within one year despite optimal treatment. We wish to validate the initial results in a large cohort of patients also including those with less severe heart attacks.
