Research summary
The researcher has chosen this subject for her research because survivorship rates are improving within haematology and also at a Challenges in Haeamtological Malignancies Conference for patients and carers, one evaluation was that there was a need for post treatment support.
This study aims to examine the views and concerns expressed by the participants who are undergoing or have undergone chemotherapy for a haematological malignancy.
The themes that arise from the interviews will then be analysed and might lead to the development and implementation of a survivorship care plan. This should then lead to service improvement and being able to address any issues a patient might have in returning to their pre-diagnostic lifestyle.REC name
