  • Research summary

In recent months, a novel post-infectious hyper-inflammatory syndrome now termed PIMS-TS (Paediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome temporally associated with SARS-CoV2) has been identified in children. This group of children now numbers in excess of 150 cases in London and 400 in the UK yet the potential long-term neurological prognosis of this syndrome is only starting to be recognised. Here we propose a study to identify neuroimaging and blood biomarkers that associate with neurological and psychiatric symptoms and outcomes following PIMS-TS.
