Research summary
Research suggests that difficulties with emotion regulation may play an important role in the experience of mental health problems. This study aims to deliver and evaluate a mindfulness based emotion regulation skills building group, in an inpatient setting, to individuals' who have experienced severe and enduring mental health problems. Mindfulness is a technique widely used in third wave therapies, and involves learning to focus one's attention and awareness.
