• Data collection arrangements

  Samples will be stored within laboratories managed by LSTM. The majority will be kept in -80°C freezers. Samples will be strictly anonymised before release to researchers. Newly collected samples will be assigned unique identifiers upon receipt by staff employed by LSTM and trained in the appropriate policies and procedures. Copies of consent forms and any other supporting information containing personal identifiers will also be stored securely and confidentially in locked cabinets with limited access and by authorized staff only.

• Research programme

  Details about the LSTM-RTB will be made available via the internet using the website maintained by LSTM. LSTM will engage the public and patient communities wherever possible and will work with existing networks to communicate and publicise its work. Researchers utilising the LSTM-RTB will do so on the understanding that they intend to present the research findings in scientific journals and scientific meetings and will acknowledge the support of the LSTM-RTB as appropriate.
