Research summary
The LIFT project aims to improve health and wellbeing for women with raised BMI who are experiencing infertility. The project aims to pilot a co-produced multi-faceted lifestyle intervention that women can be signposted to within the Tees Valley in conjunction with the infertility service at James Cook hospital. Currently women who are referred to the fertility service cannot commence treatment until they have a BMI within the range 20-30. There is currently no service to signpost women to with a BMI over 30 and they are discharged from the service with no input. The research study aims to pilot an intervention for this group of women.
The research will evaluate the feasibility and acceptance of this intervention in improving the wellbeing of this population. The project is funded by Sport England and delivered in conjunction with Tees Valley Sport and in partnership with South Tees NHS Foundation Trust.REC name
