Research summary
Assessment of kidney donors includes measurement of GFR using plasma clearance of Iohexol. In addition, kidney function is routinely assessed at St Helier hospital using eGFR derived from serum creatinine and Cystatin C. This gives us unique opportunity to use existing data to compare 2 eGFR values (CKD EPI and Cystatin C) to mGFR (Iohexol GFR). The study uses data already obtained as part of routine clinical care and does not involve any extra tests.
