Research summary
The aim of this study is to gain organisational perspective on how self-management is used, adopted and promoted within the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. Approximately 15 professionals consisting of managers and front-line with various roles in the trust who will have a perspective on self-management and/or technology tools will be interviewed to explore their experiences and opinions using a semi-structured interview guide. Participants will include clinical professionals such as managers or front-line staff in roles such as senior administrator, programme manager, programme coordinator, and head (chief) of a unit who are involved in implementing or adopting a technology-based self-management intervention. Interviews will be audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. The transcripts will be analysed thematically to explore how the solutions were used, adopted and promoted within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. Findings from this study will contribute to an overall understanding of common factors that influence the implementation of self-management interventions in the NHS.
