Research summary
The aim of the study is to see if the amount of natural killer (NK) cells (a specific cells of the immune system) in the lining of the womb differs between each menstrual cycle, what the effect of endometrial sampling (‘scratching’) has on these cells and to assess the effect of the endometrial sampling on the way the endometrium responds, or decidualizes, to hormones- oestrogen and progesterone.
