• Research summary

  This is an exploratory, randomised, two treatment, two period crossover study in healthy adult volunteers to evaluate the effect of an experimental mouthwash on oral bacteria over a 6 hour period compared to sterile water. Approximately 30 subjects will be screened in order to randomise a maximum of 25 subjects who meet all the entry criteria. The total duration of the study will be approximately 3 weeks, comprising of screening and two treatment periods. Each treatment period will require 8 saliva collections over a period of 6 hours at various time points.
