Research summary
Health Counts 2024 is a survey of health and lifestyles among adults resident (or registered at a GP) in the City of Brighton and Hove. Anonymised data from the survey will be used to understand the health behaviours and needs of the local population, and inequalities.
Health Counts (formerly Health Quest) surveys have been conducted in Brighton & Hove roughly every decade since 1990. Together the data enables tracking of change in reported health behaviours, lifestyles and inequalities over time.
People will be invited to take part in Health Counts 2024 by receiving a web-link to the online survey from their GP practice. There will also be promotion of the survey and its web-link in the Brighton & Hove area (e.g. via local Council services, local media, and local community organisations - including online promotion aimed at the local area). Paper surveys for supported completion will also be available.
