Research summary
This project has previously co-designed connection pathways for patients from primary care to locally offered golf packages for adults who would benefit from increasing their physical activity level. The aim of this study and phase of the project is to assess the acceptability and feasibility of implementing a scheme to connect patients from primary care to golf packages. To achieve this aim, we will engage GP practice staff and community link workers to implement a connection pathway to link patients to the golf packages. We will evaluate the acceptability, for all stakeholders (GP practice staff, community link workers, golf clubs and patients), of implementing the chosen pathway by conducting data analysis on engagement rates, patient uptake, attendance, adherence and completion rates to the golf packages and by conducting questionnaires with all stakeholders on their experiences.
