Research summary
Drugs can cause different types of side effects and one of these is injury to the kidneys. Drug induced kidney injury is
very common in the hospital setting because patients are exposed to several different types of medicines. Factors
which put patients at risk for this adverse effect include age, certain diseases and exposure to certain medications.
Genetics may have a role to play in the risk for drug induced kidney injury. This study will evaluate the role of genetics
in the prediction of drug induced kidney injury.REC name
