  Retrospective review of patient notes for all adult admissions to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the presentation of general surgery patients to hospital. All adult admissions under general surgery for 90 days since the start of nationwide UK lockdown (beginning 23/03) in 2020 will be compared to the same dates for 2019. Outcomes that will be compared include: patient reported duration of symptoms, illness severity (APACHE II score), surgeries performed, ITU admission and mortality rate.
