Research summary
This study aims to describe the experiences of couples who have attended the recurrent miscarriage clinic and have had a pregnancy following their first attendance. We will conduct a single interview of around 1 hour in length with each of our 20 participants. These interviews will be held one-to-one via online conferencing software in order to maintain safety during the current covid-19 pandemic. The transcripts of these interviews will be analysed looking for emerging themes. The study findings will be reported in a scientific article with multiple anonymised verbatim quotes from the participants in order to impart an idea of the lived experience of the participants. We aim to use this study to ensure the clinic provides appropriate support and change services if necessary; as well as inform the health care community about what is most important to couples facing similar situations in other recurrent miscarriage clinics across the UK.
