Research summary
This project aims to explore the experience of patients who have experienced fractured neck of femur [hip fracture] and admitted to hospitals in Derbyshire. The project will use semi-structured interview to enable patients to explain their experience with a particular focus on national guidelines for standards of recommended care (NICE). The interviews will be conducted in patient homes or location of their preference.
Data will be recorded, transcribed and a basic thematic analysis will be conducted to establish where national standards were or were not met from the patients perspective.
It aims to inform acute trusts about areas where care could be improved.REC name
