  We would like to examine the effect of air pressure applied at the mouth and/or nose on neural respiratory drive and breathlessness in patients with chronic respiratory failure, using a new CE-marked non-invasive (mask) ventilator that detects the amount of obstruction to airflow and adjusts the amount of pressure that it applies to the lungs.
