  This trial is being conducted to evaluate the effect of food on the pharmacokinetics or PK (how the drug is broken down, used, and eliminated from the body) of perifosine, when taken as a single agent, and to determine the effect of perifosine on ECG parameters. Adult patients with advanced cancers who have failed standard treatment will be eligible to participate. The study is being conducted at a single UK site in Central London.
