Research summary
The research study will gather information from the parents or carers who have had children cared for by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)homebased intensive treatment team. The aim of the research is to is to gain an understanding of the families experiences of using this type of service when their child is suffering from a moderate to severe mental illness. Information will be gathered by interviewing 6 participants (parents or carers) and later analysing transcripts of the interviews for common themes that emerge. By gathering the views of families it is hoped the researcher will gain an insiders view of what the experience is like and from this may influence the way future services are delivered.
