Research summary
The purpose of this study is to talk to current patients about their understanding of a type of clinical trial; called a stratified or personalised medicine trial. We know this is a relatively new concept in the treatment of cancer and would like to know about their understanding of and attitude towards stratified medicine. Advances in medicine mean that more people are living longer with lung cancer, the cancer consultants and clinical care teams not only want to treat cancer, but also understand what patients understand about these new treatments in this area of research.
