Research summary
This small-scale, mixed methodology study is a quantitative/qualitative survey of clients of the Menopause Clinic at Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Services in Hull around their Menopause Care. The principal research objective is to explore the views of these clients with regard to their preferred type of provider, location, method of provision and referral access. The secondary research question is whether there is a difference in the attitudes and views around sex and Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Services between women who find Menopause Clinics within Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Services acceptable and those who do not.
Potential participants will be sent an invitation to participate in the survey by either by a letter including the paper version of the questionnaire and a prepaid return envelope or by an e-mail invitation to complete the survey online, depending on their permissions about receiving communication from the Service and the personal details the Service holds. The software programme SurveyMonkey® will be used and the paper version of the survey be inputted manually in to the programme.
