Research summary
The study looks to evaluate a novel 3D computed tomography model for the estimation of glenoid version.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate whether a novel 3D CT model of glenoid version is superior to conventional multiplanar reformats in the measurement of glenoid version. The study looks to compare its accuracy against an established conventional multiplanar technique for the estimation of glenoid version.
Consecutive CT scans from 25 arthritic glenoids and 25 normal glenoids (n=50). The arthritic glenoid cohort will be selected from patients with established glenohumeral osteoarthritis undergoing imaging for consideration of arthroplasty. The normal glenoid studies will be selected from patients who were undergoing shoulder CT for an unrelated indication. This retrospective study duration will be between October 2014 to October 2019.
