    Background:
Discoid Meniscus (DM) is a congenital abnormality of the knee that presents in childhood and associated with considerable morbidity. As a rare presentation there is little information to guide treatment.
    Aim:
The aims of this DiMe project are to analyze DM tears characteristics in the paediatric European population, to describe current treatment options in symptomatic DM, and to evaluate clinical outcomes.
We will approach children under 18 years old diagnosed with Discoid Meniscus for their consent to evaluate clinical data and collect qualitative data from the patient.
    Outcome:
The primary outcome is to describe the type and location of the DM tear according, and analyze the difference of clinical post-operative knee function through short, mid and long-term follow-up.
    Impact:
This study will form part of a European multi centre study and a prospective database will provide significant insight into several aspects of DM management ; including the impact of this pathology within the European population, patient characteristics, DM tear patterns, clinical outcomes and return to sport.
