  • Data collection arrangements

Data collected and stored will include routine EHR data, including Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs; collected via the CareLoop smartphone app), Clinician-Reported Outcome Measures (CROMs), patient demographic data, and treatment-related data. All data leaving each participating NHS trust will be pseudonymised.

  • Research programme

Early Psychosis Informatics into Care (EPICare) is a national digital registry of pseudonymised data pooled from electronic health records (EHR) of people with first-episode psychosis (FEP) receiving Early Intervention for Psychosis (EIP) services at participating NHS Trusts, together with NHS service-level, locally-held clinician dashboard and clinical decision support system (CDSS) that enable the visualisation of data at the Trust service and patient levels. The registry will allow epidemiologically representative insights into incidence rates, what treatment is being offered and taken up by whom, and what existing treatments work best in real world settings. Individual NHS service-level dashboard data will drive improvements in care for people with FEP.
