Research summary
This study aims to complete the development of a quality of life questionnaire that will allow patients to self assess their oral and dental status during and after cancer treatment. A review of the literature suggests that this is an area which can often cause problems and that these are not always addressed in cancer care.
To date we, as a group of clinical researchers based in cancer centres across Europe, have designed a draft questionnaire, with the help of patients and carers.
This final stage involves trying out the questionnaire with a group of people who are having or have had treatment for cancer and checking that it meets their needs.
Joining the study involves completing the questionnaire and giving your views about the questions to the researcher. This will be on a single occasion, taking around 15-20 minutes and we will ask permission to send a second form by post to allow us to check whether the answers are consistent and, for those who agree, this will be the final part of the study.REC name
