Research summary
Haemodialysis is a form of renal replacement therapy for patients with end stage renal failure. In a significant proportion this is done through a haemodialysis access circuit created called an arteriovenous fistula (AVF). The AVF can become dysfunctional if they develop narrowings (stenosis) in the circuit. This study plans aims to evaluate the role of a novel scoring balloon angioplasty treatment to treat these lesions.
