Research summary
The study is a collaboration between Health Education England (HEE) and Aston University. This study is designed to support HEE to identify the educational needs of multi-disciplinary clinical teams during a health care crisis as evidenced by Emergency Departments during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. \n\nIn this mixed-methods narrative study, we will ask multi-professionals about their experiences, opinions and recommendations regarding the educational needs following Experiences, Opinions and Recommendations (EOR) framework that has been used previously by the Clinical Educators in Emergency Departments (CEED) study team. \n\nThere will be four work packages in this study. We will do this by semi-structured interviews (SSIs), reflective accounts, responses from professional bodies and collection of existing data as well as online surveys. The study is designed to support both short-term advice to clinical team as well as future recommendations to HEE underpinned by evidence from this study. This Flexible design and delivery are in place to allow response to the early findings.
