Research summary
Prior to surgery investigations as electrocardiograms (ECG) have to be done in order\nto assess eligibility for anaesthesia. These ECG’s are then read by nurses and fed back to anesthesiologists and cardiologists in a multi-disciplinary meeting. \nCurrently we have Pre-Assessment clinics lead by nurses and we would like to \ncompare their ECG diagnostic skills with physician clinicians. \nThis study will identify whether nurse led pre-assessment clinics are as accurate as \ndoctor led pre-assessment clinics by asking staff (Consultant Cardiologists, anaesthesiologists and nurses) to complete a questionnaire based on patient retrospective ECG results\n\n
