  • Data collection arrangements

The biobank primarily stores plasma, serum, DNA and urine samples as well as paraffin embedded tumour samples removed during routine biopsy or surgery. All patients are requested to give consent for research and the data collection. The data is stored in a linked anonymised form on secure server on a password protected database. Some of the samples are sequential- collected every 6 months to capture the changing biomarkers during the course of the disease from diagnosis through to the treatment, cure or progression of the disease. We also hold blood, urine and DNA samples from healthy volunteers.
