Research summary
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a major global health problem which affects round 3.5 million people in the UK. People with CKD need to regularly monitor their condition, which can be time and cost consuming. Digital health technology has shown to be efficient, effective and cost-saving for the patients and health providers. However, there has been slow progress towards its adoption in renal care. Hence, it is important to understand what helps and hinders the adoption of digital health technology from the perspectives of people with CKD.
To gain insight into technology in renal care, this study explores the acceptability of digital health technology in people with CKD. It also explores what factors can help or hinder the adoption of digital technology in renal care.
