Research summary
Many people who have experienced a traumatic brain injury report a change in their self-identity and this concerns them. This work continues on from previous work by researchers in New Zealand that developed an item bank for a potential measure of this change in self-identity or ‘sense of self’. The aim of this project is to test this measure and see if it conforms to a valid statistical model and can therefore be used to measure this construct in clinical practice and in research studies.
