Research Summary
Cluster headache is rare headache disorder. It can be very severe and is commonly misdiagnosed and mistreated as migraine. There is no clinical tool available to help doctors detect cluster headache. This study aims to develop and test a tool to help diagnose cluster headache. The new diagnostic tool will include a visual and verbal component that will aid early diagnosis of cluster headache and will help doctors distinguish cluster headache from migraine. Patients with cluster headache and migraine will be recruited from the Hull Headache Clinic. The tool will be compared between the groups of headache patients.
