  This project will improve our understanding of disease mechanisms and potential future treatment targets in CNO, but also other inflammatory diseases associated with increased P2X7R activity and resulting inflammation and bone loss, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, and others. Lastly, it will establish state-of-the-art human tissue culture models to replace animal models in bone immunology.
