  • Research summary

Although the mainstay of diagnosis of COVID-19 is by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing, this is not 100% accurate. In this study, we plan to examine a novel method to determine the start of the disease impacting on the population and whether this can be used to assess prevalence and obtain estimates of disease spread in the genral population. \n\nThis study entails the retrospective review of routinely collected information from patients having CT scans for trauma to see if they could provide insights into the amount of disease, particularly unsuspected disease, in the general population.\n
