Research summary
This study will examine the impact that COVID-19 has had on people's experiences of being investigated for and diagnosed with cancer. We will explore how COVID-19 shaped symptom appraisal, help seeking decision-making and engagement with the health care system up until the point of commencement of treatment. The findings of this study will help us to identify additional needs that this cohort of colorectal cancer patients may have and inform possible interventions to support those diagnosed with cancer during current and future phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
