  • Data collection arrangements

The Connected Bradford Research Database consists of linked routine administrative data from health and care organisations across the Bradford and Yorkshire region, Bradford Metropolitan District Council and the Department for Education.

  • Research programme

Bradford has high concentrations of poor social mobility, poor educational attainment and poor health. These risks factors concentrated within this geographical dimension are marked by low incomes, high unemployment and low socio-economic health status. This opens up a challenging multi-disciplinary health research agenda. The linked health and education research database will enable us to identify and support health issues impacting low levels of educational attainment and develop research based interventions within schools to support teachers, children and healthcare professionals. The research database provides a huge benefit and public interest to improve delivery in health and education services across Bradford. Linked population health and education data enables us to identify and improve health economics as well as providing us with a holistic viewpoint to understand multifactorial and to identify the most important factors which can only be achieved by accessing all clinical measures.
