Research summary
This is a randomised, controlled, assessor blinded, comparative study of mosquito© LǟuseShampoo and Infectopedicul© permethrin 0.5% lotion . The aim is to demonstrate the activity of mosquito© LǟuseShampoo , in relation to that of a medicinal product currently approved by the German competent authority as a reimbursable medication for treatment of head louse infestation, so that the sponsor may apply to the competent authority for similar reimbursable status. Participants will be treated on day 0 by an investigator. The same investigator will reapply the same treatment on day 9. Between treatments, participants will be examined for presence of head lice by assessors blind to treatment group on days 1 and 9, and again on days 11 and 14. Any lice found will be fixed to the Case Report Form for age analysis.
