  The study aims to determine the nature of cognitive function and emotion processing abnormalities in symptomatic and euthymic (or "normal mood" in bipolar disorder) Bipolar Disorder patients, and the extent to which these abnormalities are distinguishable from abnormalities in patients with Major Depressive Disorder with comparable illness severity.
